Brazing is the process of joining two independent pieces of metal to form one strong load-bearing joint. As a professional manufacturer of tungsten carbide products, our tungsten carbide components are commonly joined to steels and other materials by brazing.

Our main products include silver-based brazing filler metal, copper-based brazing filler metal, aluminum-based brazing filler metal and associated brazing flux, flux-cored welding wire etc.

HS221 is a kind of copper and zinc brazing alloy, and available for gaseous flame brazing, high frequency brazing, furnace brazing, resistance welding etc. HS221 has good welding performance, and it is widely used for brazing of copper and copper alloy, steel, copper nickel alloy, gray cast iron, cemented carbide etc.

Steps for Brazing: 

1. Use the wire brush or emery cloth to scuff the surface of the metal. Then clean the surfaces using soapy water or a degreaser.
2. Position the metal as desired. In most cases, an overlapped joint will be stronger and braze together easier than a gapped joint. If needed, use clamps to secure the pieces in position.
3. Heat the joint where the two pieces of metal will meet until the joint glows.
4. Apply the brazing rod to the joint while continuing to heat the metal surfaces. For large areas, heat portions of the joint to temperature and then move to the next adjacent area.
5. After brazing, use a wire brush to clean the brazed surface to remove any oxidation or residue.
